Richard Pollard, President, began his insurance career in 1966, after he received his Bachelor of Business Administration from East Texas University. His thirty-five+ year diverse insurance background includes being a casualty underwriter, underwriting manager, insurance salesman, marketing manager, and an owner/board member for a large regional insurance agency. His insurance profile encompasses the successful implementation of Agency/Insurer underwriting programs, which include the creation and development of a General Agent program, comprised of more than sixty Texas agents, with annual sales in excess of $15 million. His technical skills in complex insurance issues has resulted in providing risk consulting services for numerous businesses and public entities; as well as providing consulting services and serving as an expert witness involving insurance litigation. He has the following professional designations: CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter) and AAI (Accredited Advisor of Insurance). Rodney Hurt, Senor Vice President, began his insurance career in 1978, after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. He has worked in numerous capacities in the insurance industry since that time. His duties have ranged from being in charge of the insurance department for the local office of a national finance company specializing in auto loans, to working as a solicitor of insurance for local insurance agencies, selling personal lines coverages along with commercial lines coverages for many businesses with diverse insurance needs, as well as marketing specialized insurance programs to a very select business sector, to owning and managing a local property and casualty insurance agency since 1986. He has developed other sales locations during the past few years while managing his agency as well as servicing his client base and selling insurance to new customers. He has received the AAI (Accredited Advisor in Insurance) designation, and participates in continuing education programs. Missy Pollard Operations/Marketing Manager, is new to the insurance industry, but brings with her years of corporate and project management experience. As a former city planner and partner in a consulting firm, Missy holds a considerable amount of knowledge in customer service, contracts, policies and procedures; as well as marketing and website development. Missy manages the SIG corporate branding, agent appointments, company contracts, and licensing with the Texas Department of Insurance. Missy is a graduate of Texas A&M University and Tulane University, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. Emily Terral, Sales, has moved into a full-time production role. She is familiar with the various aspects of the accounting functions between insurance companies, brokers, customers and insurance agencies. She is responsible for managing and controlling all aspects of accounting activities for all of our locations. |
